For the same reason, you should not delay coronary angiography because pain resolves with morphine. When I see this, I always look at V2 for any evidence of posterior OMI (STD, or loss or inversion of T-wave, or downsloping ST segment: there is a negative T-wave ), and V6 for any STE (normal).
