She was found by paramedics with an oxygen saturation of 64%, but could not tolerate BiPAP during transport due to claustrophobia. A 69 year old woman with a history of hypertension presented to the emergency department by EMS for evaluation of chest pain and shortness of breath. As her pain worsened, so did her dyspnea.
