I cleared my DNB EM Practical Exam and with that, I have successfully completed my Post Graduation in Emergency Medicine. Most of you are likely to belong to the above mentioned group, given the current political debacle and bureaucracy trends in EM in our country, which hopefully will change in years to come. Each state has their own challenges, as well as guidelines and laws, to practicing as an EMT, although with the National Registry becoming the norm, EMS will soon have similar protocols throughout the nation. It wasn’t until the 1970’s that EMT’s became certified, and by 1973, the modern day EMS system was established across the country.
