Each state has their own challenges, as well as guidelines and laws, to practicing as an EMT, although with the National Registry becoming the norm, EMS will soon have similar protocols throughout the nation. It wasn’t until the 1970’s that EMT’s became certified, and by 1973, the modern day EMS system was established across the country.
A committee of EMS experts composed the questions on the NREMT examination with approximately 85% of the questions relating to adults and 15% relating to children in one of the five categories mentioned above. For this reason, many students find it beneficial to study from a number of resources written by a variety of authors.
Upon discovering how many EMT textbooks are out there – all of which have slight differences of opinion on certain matters – many EMT students panic and wonder if their course is using the right book. Whatever book your course is using will prepare you well for the NREMT exam. What’s the Best EMR Practice Test?
Each question is written by a committee of experts, including doctors, EMS professionals, and educators. Read your book carefully. Take the quizzes that are provided in your book. These two items can freak students out, but I urge you not to get anxious about these, as they both work in your favor. Make flashcards.
That is to say, you could have your EMT book completely memorized and still find the exam very challenging if you don’t know how to take the test. What’s the Best EMR Practice Test? It is fair to say, however, that the successful NREMT candidate not only has a handle on the material but also on how to approach the test questions.
