Basic Combat Training Basic Combat Training , or BCT, is approximately 10 weeks and will take place at 1 of the 4 locations available. Phase 2 lasted 8 weeks and built on the critical care skills acquired in phase 1. Phases 1 and 2 are conducted at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. The CCFP consisted of 3 phases.
