The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has received $100,000 from Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, and the Tractor Supply Company Foundation. The donation comes as part of the retailer’s launch of its Hometown Heroes program and its $1 million donation to charity organizations supporting our nation’s military service members, veterans, and first responders.

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) marked the 10th anniversary of its signature conference, the NVFC Training Summit, on June 21-22 in Buffalo, NY. The sold-out event had the highest attendance yet, with over 200 attendees from 40 states and the District of Columbia. Attendees were able to choose from 18 sessions delivered by nationally-recognized subject matter experts in three tracks focusing on health and safety, recruitment and retention, and leadership.

This bill reauthorizes the Assistance for Firefighters Grant (AFG) and Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant programs as well as provides funding for the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA).
