Whether it’s access to mentalhealthservices, peer support, or simply knowing someone is there to listen, this network helps ease the burdens of life after service. Many Veterans and first responders struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and physical injuries.
According to the Substance Abuse and MentalHealthServices Administration (SAMHSA), over 30 percent of first responders suffer from a mentalhealth condition, including post-traumatic stress (PTS).
